I've been a little bit obsessed with lampwork twistie cane lately. It's super satisfying to make and it just looks cool when it's done
I chop them up into even pieces and preheat them in the kiln before shaping them into loops.
Eventually I add some copper electroforming to them to really accent them. It's a lot of work and takes a week or so until I have a finished piece. I think it's worth it though.
Maybe it's something I should make a youtube video about? Though I'm not particularly skilled at making cane, I do have some tips and tricks to share.
But for now here's a small gallery of what these handmade lampwork glass jewelry components look like.
